Garret Voorhees

I create engaging and effective experiences for users.

I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a BA in Graphic Design and an MS in Print Media. My graduate thesis research concerned the congeniality of reading on digital devices, including e-reading devices and web browsers.

When not designing in the digital realm, I practice calligraphy and hand-lettering. I've co-founded Type Union, a curated online showcase for typography-related works, and am building Videogame Type, a community to discuss videogame typography.

Since 2006, I've also hosted Dig This, a radio show featuring a full spectrum of jazz, funk and hip hop.
