I'm on the customer development team at Pantheon. We're working hard on improving Pantheon and will have a lot to announce at Copenhagen. But we also have to learn about what Drupal developers use for their server setup.

I just started to build a pantheon server. I would love a vmware image. Bcfg2 management is pretty new to me. It has taken a while to become aquainted with the changes. I had an incident where I modified conf files like normal, and had bcfg2 blow it away. Until I found server_tunables. I could explain my perspective trying to implement pantheon.
Working with Chapter Three was great! They understood the development workflow perfectly and accommodated our needs to handle the theming and IA of the site. Add to this the short timeline and last minute changes they put up with. One area that Chapter Three really helped was setting up the development environment for us. This has proved invaluable to managing the site and pushing new features.
