We created an internal site to serve Arabic and English content instantly and seamlessly.
The process
With an integrated solution using an IBM API, we were able to create a multilingual site that translated content and comments automatically. We allowed content flagging and individual human translation to improve translation quality. Displays designed with Panels and Views presented the content and translations seamlessly and automatically.
We also built a fully functional, multilingual Apache Solr search solution, successfully indexing Arabic content. Implementing automatic, instant translation with Arabic comprehensively across content was technically challenging, and our work in building one of the pioneering solutions for this problem was a great accomplishment in an increasingly globalized and multilingual world.
