Sun Video Learning Exchange

In 2008 Chapter Three helped Sun Microsystems in-house staff design and develop the Video Learning Exchange. Under a compressed timetable, we completed two site design passes, all development, QA testing, and revisions in time for a site launch in under two months. On the site, Sun employees can easily publish training content in rich media such as videos, mp3s, and documents. This site made the most of Drupal's media content management functionality and allowed Sun to cost-effectively deploy an impressive media platform very quickly.

Features

  • Media Management: The site supports a mix of document, video, audio content. All content is automatically transcoded when and stored on the LimeWire content delivery network.
  • Community Features: Media assets can be tagged, rated, commented. These interactions are then compiled as statistics that are used on the content listing pages.
