For those of you who weren't able to make it to DrupalCon this year — boy, did you miss out. Not because of the great sessions, continuous flow of Birds of a Feather talks or even the arcade in the sponsor hall (with pinball machine). DrupalCon's always been about networking with other people who have similar interests and aspirations — and Chicago didn't disappoint. Most of us actually spent more time talking and sharing with fellow Drupalistas than attending the sessions!

I'll be the first to admit that I was skeptical when they announced last year that DrupalCon 2011 was going to be in the Hotel Sheraton. But, for the first time ever, Drupal ninjas and noobs the world over were allowed a place to talk nerdy as long as we wanted. We could grab a room or just sit in the lobby as late as we wanted without security kicking us out. What a contrast from last year, when attendees and staff alike were escorted out around 6pm.

I don't know about you guys, but DrupalCon this year was truly all about the people. Even though the turnout didn't end up being as high as everyone had expected, it was still great catching up with old friends, chatting about new jobs and finding out what new Drupal projects everyone's been working on.
