Building Websites with Drupal

This five-day intensive course will teach you how to build and maintain a website with Drupal.

You'll start by building a very basic brochure-ware site in our Drupal Fundamentals class on day 1, and continue to add features and functionality throughout the rest of the week. On days two and three you'll be creating additional types of content, and building complex lists like tables, grids, and galleries in our Custom content, fields and lists class. In our Layouts and Templates class on day 4 you'll discover how to control the layout for specific pages on your site, or for specific types of content. In our Development best practices class on day 5 you'll learn how to manage your Drupal site over time. You'll learn the best way to safely create and deploy new features, and how to manage your code using GIT. You'll also get a very high level overview of the right way to create a Drupal theme and a Drupal module, and how to apply patches from drupal.org.

By the end of the week you'll be able to look at almost any website and know how the same site might be reconstructed using Drupal. You'll have a solid understanding of how to use Drupal's most important building blocks, and be ready to tackle your own Drupal projects.
