At Chapter Three we have a Slack channel dedicated to sharing tech news, interesting articles, and general internet malarkey. On Friday we hold a sacred event called “Sharing Fridays” in which we share our findings with all of our team in a curated lunchtime battle of the interwebz.
Here’s what we shared for this week:
- Drupal 8’s official release is November 19th, and the world is ready to party. The Bay Area Drupal 8 Release Party is already in the works.
 - This handy dandy jQuery Debug Chrome Extension helps figure out what jQuery is up to
 - Both PalletTab and ColorTab are some other Chrome extensions that bring some visual inspiration to your new tabs.
 - We’re really digging the UI of Daisy Disk - Incredibly useful interface, and great experience.
 - There’s a tremendously entertaining conspiracy theory on reddit regarding Jar Jar Binks.
 - Phones are getting better and cheaper. The OnePlus X has piqued our interest.
 - If you’re looking for a remote job, Product Hunt has their own special list of tools to help.
 - Stylify.me is a neat web tool that produces a style guide from an existing site.
 - Need some quick n’ dirty photo editing? We’ve been test-driving Polarr.
 - Electron, GitHub’s platform for cross-platform application development gets a new site.
 - Amazon killed bookstores, so it opened a bookstore!
 - Canva appears to be curated designs and layouts for producing graphics. Nifty landing page.
 - THE SUN - Totally trippy and mesmerizing Ultra HD 4K video of our closest star. Forget the Fireplace video for the holidays. Thank you, NASA.
 - Screencat - Open source screen sharing and remote collaboration application.
 - PewInternet has some really interesting data about device ownership.
 - Some exciting new from Slack! Slash Commands and Add to Slack buttons are getting more and more powerful.
 - The beta version of the Vivaldi Browser is out. Watching this one closely...
