Design, Content and Infrastructure Updates Tell the Story of UC Berkeley's Amazing Research Enterprise
Too much of the story on the UC Berkeley Vice Chancellor for Research website was buried in long pages and ineffective IA. Working with a focused team in the Chancellor's office, we extended the visual language with clean and simple graphics, helped simplify the information architecture and added technical improvements to navigation, faculty directory and other features to make the site easier to use.
Although not a complete overhaul, we managed to make several changes that truly changed the narrative, such as:
- Infographics to easily tell the big picture story of UC Berkeley's research and scholars
- Strong use of compelling images from the university's extensive collection
- Rethought the content and structure of several key features, most notably the faculty search tool
- Simplified navigation with new mega-menu
